I was really looking forward to this film. It didn't work for me.

The first act was great but it fell apart in the third act and the justification for killing Jasper was very telling not showing. Didn't get a sense of how problematic Jasper was (aside from attempted blackmail in the end). In fact, Jasper was the most competent cop in the film. I also wish they would have been more definitive on Maddy's motivations (whether she had always planned to kill her husband because of the insurance claim, etc). Was not believable that they got away with two crimes.
