Nice article! Yes Netflix knows based on all the data they have ( views vs. completion rate) the likely good of a show going down in viewership if it gets a second season or up. Arcane by comparison, which came out around the same time, must have shown enough promise in growth to get a second season. Shows on Netflix nowadays don't have time to build audiences and have to put their best door forward right out of the gate.
